Green Festival is Country’s Largest

The seventh annual Green Festival, the country’s largest green consumer event, will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 18, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 19, at the Navy Pier, in Chicago.

Leaders in the social justice and environmental community, including speakers, entrepreneurs and activists; an organic beer and wine pavilion; and a marketplace of more than 270 eco-friendly businesses featuring the latest and greatest in sustainable products and services will be available for visitors.

Other highlights include Ford Ride and Drive opportunities, do-it-yourself workshops, a good-food stage and organic cooking demos, a green kid’s zone, information about green jobs and careers, responsible investing and green business opportunities, renewable energy exhibits, a yoga and movement pavilion, community action opportunities, Sierra Club green films, youth programs and local musicians.
