World Tai Chi and Qigong Day

People in more than 60 countries around the world will celebrate the health and longevity that tai chi and qigong practitioners have enjoyed for thousands of years by observing the 14th annual World Tai Chi and Qigong Day at 10 a.m., April 27.

The event is designed to educate the world about emerging medical research revealing health benefits of tai chi and qigong; to highlight its increasing use in businesses, schools, hospitals and rehabilitation facilities; to provide a global vision of health and healing across geopolitical boundaries; and to encourage people across the planet to embrace wisdom from all the cultures of the world.

In celebration, the Tai Chi Center of Chicago is offering free guided practice sessions that day. Learn the similarities and differences of tai chi and qigong and experience how balance, breath and focused movement can transform one’s life.

Tai Chi Center of Chicago is located at 4043 N. Ravenswood Ave., Ste. 201-228. For more information, visit TaiChiCenter-Chicago.com.
