Healing Arts Offers Community Acupuncture

Individuals interested in experiencing acupuncture can enjoy it in a cost-saving, community format at Healing Arts of Oriental Medicine, in Deerfield. Owner Anatoliy Pak will introduce this emerging model at his office during December, offering special rates and incentives.

Community acupuncture provides treatment in a group setting, making it more affordable for people dealing with chronic issues or financial hardship. The concept allows individuals who are interested in a natural way of improving health to experience healing and growth together.

In a typical session, four to 10 patients relax in recliners as a licensed acupuncturist applies needles. Treatment and the placement of needles are customized for each individual, consistent with pulse and tongue diagnoses and the principles of treating the whole person and not just the disease. The needles are placed below the elbows and knees, so only the legs and arms are exposed, maintaining patient privacy.
