One Earth Film Festival Accepting Entries

Entries are being accepted through January 12 for the 2014 One Earth…Our Earth Young Filmmakers Contest, which is part of the One Earth Film Festival, to be held from March 7 to 9, 2014. Open to students from grade school through to college level, the goal of the contest is to use the creative medium of film to address issues surrounding climate change and sustainability.

Students in grades three and up may create a solution-based, three-to-eight-minute film or 45-second animation. Films will be judged by industry professionals and leaders within the environmental community. Winners from each age category will have their film shown throughout the Chicago area festival and/or at the Green Carpet opening event, in addition to being awarded a cash prize with a matching grant.
