Free Rain Barrels Available in Cook County

The Southeast Environmental Task Force, in connection with the Metropolitan Water District of Chicago, is taking orders for free rain barrels until December 31 for Cook County residents. Please be advised that orders may take up to three months to fulfill.

        Two styles are available. A barrel re-purposed from the food industry once used to transport items such as pickles or olives may have slight imperfections such as scuffs or marks. The second option is made from recycled plastic such as used bottles. Both styles are available in black, grey, terra cotta or blue. Be prepared to give the following information when ordering: name, address, quantity, color, phone number and email address.
