New Organic Hair Color Line at Organic Roots

Organic Roots Eco Salon, in Skokie, is now offering Calura products, a new line of organic hair color that offers superior shine, conditioning and scalp comfort. It uses U.S. Department of Agriculture organic certified plant essences, including avocado oil, evening primrose oil, pomegranate seed oil and Shea butter. Calura also contains keratin derived from New Zealand wool to strengthen and smooth all hair types.

Salon owner Lori Goldstein says the new line is a welcome addition to her eco-salon because they are ammonia- and PPD-free, which results in a healthier salon environment for both her clients and technicians.

Organic Roots also offers the O-Way line, the world’s first professional organic hair color, with biodynamic, fair trade ingredients and pure essential oils for all hair types. Customers may choose from 95 permanent, ammonia-free shades. Additional hair treatment options include Magic Sleek and Cezanne, smoothing treatments that are formaldehyde-free and non-toxic, with no down time.

Head Shape Matters-certified Stylist Jackie Zaigirdar offers such haircuts, the only patented system for a customized haircut based on a person’s head shape.

Location: 3417 Dempster St., Skokie. For appointments, call 847-423-2653 or book online at OrganicRootsEcoSalon.com.
