Welcome the Year of the Earth Dog

The Feng Shui School of Chicago will hold its seventh annual Chinese New Year Celebration from 6 to 9 p.m., on January 19, to welcome 2018, the Year of the Earth Dog. A full Chinese meal will be served at Yu’s Mandarin, in Westmont.

Laurie Pawli, director of the school, will give a presentation on what we can expect during 2018, share information on the astrological signs and explain the ceremony of Welcoming the Wealth Gods for abundance in the new year. Each attendee will receive a gift.

Additional presentations will be offered January 22 at Equilibrium Energy, in Chicago, and January 24 at Infinity Foundation, in Highland Park. Each presentation varies in content and all include special gifts and an explanation of the Welcoming of the Wealth Gods Ceremony.

Dinner includes hot appetizers, hot and sour soup, honey-glazed walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, three-ingredient taster, Szechuan fish filet, eggplant, rainbow fried rice and fresh fruits served family-style with hot tea.
