Chicago Green Festival Seeks Volunteers

Be a part of the magic! Chicago’s Green Festival will be held May 5 and 6 at Navy Pier, along Chicago’s lakefront. The nonprofit festival relies on the support of more than 1,200 volunteers to run smoothly. Each volunteer will enjoy free admission all weekend, and special gifts and benefits.

The festival, a project of Green America and Global Exchange and sponsored in part by Natural Awakenings magazine, celebrates the best in sustainability for people and the environment, in our communities and around the world. Enjoy more than 125 renowned authors, leaders and educators; great workshops; cutting-edge films; fun activities for kids; organic beer and wine; delicious vegetarian cuisine; and diverse live music. Shop in the unique marketplace of more than 300 eco-friendly businesses, featuring everything from all-natural body care products and organic cotton clothing to fair trade gifts and beautiful kitchen tiles made from renewable resources. See the most recent developments in renewable energy and green technology; sample fair-trade chocolate, tea, coffee and oils; and learn how to invest in your community, “green” your home and support products that respect the Earth and its people.

Recharge your batteries with all the hope, inspiration and practical ideas you’ll find at the one and only Green Festival. Sign up today and experience the festival from the inside.
