Look for Realtors with the Green Designation

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has created a new Green Realtor designation and benefits program tailored for real estate agents. It provides advanced training in green building and sustainable business practices so they can seek out, understand and market properties with green features.

Katie Hauser, an NAR Green Realtor with Baird & Warner, notes that clients are becoming more concerned with commuting costs, energy efficiency and sustainability. As consumer demand for knowledge on these issues increase, she will be able to have access to customizable, members-only marketing tools to help her customers gain a comprehensive understanding of what it means to go green, and answer their concerns.

Hauser states, “I enjoy helping people problem solve in a green way, such as choosing Low E replacement windows over standard, and recommending green insulation to someone who has never considered it. The Green Resource Council provides NAR Green Designees with up-to-date resources and ongoing education so I can serve you better.”
