Learn About Edgar Cayce and Others in Des Plaines

The thoughts of Edgar Cayce, Michael Pollan and Mark Bittman on the cultural, social and health impact associated with our engagement with food will be explored at Sharing a Meal, a free program from 7 to 9 p.m., January 8, at The Edgar Cayce Holistic Center and Bookstore. There will be food to share, too.

Astrologer Lin Boffeli will teach how to use the Llewellyn Calendar to detail what’s in store for 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m., January 17. A free program, Contending with Ain’t it Awful, from 3 to 5 p.m., January 31, will provide tools to help protect us from being pulled down by negative people.

International healer Malcolm Smith will be on hand the first week of February, and Arche International founder Dr. Rosita Rodriguez will talk about The Spiritual Side of Lemuria and Atlantis from 2 to 5 p.m., February 6, to enrich participants with a deeper understanding of these mystifying ancient civilizations.

The Center offers great diversity in programs and a fully stocked bookstore with Cayce healing remedies, too.
