Opportunity to Discuss Near-Death Experiences

Chicago International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) meets from 2 to 5 p.m., the second Saturday of each month, in Evanston Hospital’s Frank Auditorium. The July 14 meeting will feature Seattle writer Kimberly Clark Sharp, author of After the Light, a humorous retelling of her own near-death experience, which encompasses many aspects of metaphysical reality.

IANDS provides a unique forum for those in need of a place to talk and to learn about death and dying. This can be a lifeline for people that have lost children and close loved ones. The meeting is open to everyone. “We will all have this experience at some point in time, and it makes sense to be prepared,” says Diane Willis, founder and facilitator of the group. Meetings include a guest speaker, with time for sharing, refreshments and browsing a bookstore.
