The Havoc Wrought by Chronic Inflammation

Ryan Lombardo, the weight-loss, wellness and longevity specialist of FreshSkin Medical Spa & Wellness Center, will join Marilee Papale, of Essence Pilates, to complete their summer educational series on the topic of Chronic Inflammation and the Havoc it Plays on the Body at 6:30 p.m., July 17, in Deerfield.

The talk, which is for anyone feeling tired, sluggish or frustrated with their health, includes helpful information about anti-inflammatory nutrition and lifestyle changes to encourage optimal health, including answers to such questions as “What is inflammation?”, “What does it do?” and “How can we prevent and reverse it?”

Comprehensive lab testing will be discussed to learn how to identify and treat inflammatory conditions based on our genetics, food sensitivities, cardiometabolic markers and hormone levels.

Lombardo, DAOM, a doctor of acupuncture and oriental medicine, is board certified in acupuncture, anti-aging and integrative medicine. He has been interviewed by Self Magazine, American Spa, DAYSPA, Dermatology Times, Today’s Chicago Woman, Natural Awakenings, the Chicago Sun-Times, WGN-TV and NS Magazine.
