Walk Through Successful Private Gardens

The 2018 University of Illinois Extension McHenry County Master Gardeners’ Garden Walk will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 14, throughout the McHenry and Wonder Lake areas. The tour starts at McHenry County College, in Crystal Lake, at the Extension Master Gardener Demonstration Garden, which includes vine, shade and theme gardens and extensive displays of perennials and annuals. Participants may continue on to visit 11 of the best home gardens in the county.

         At each garden, hosts have labeled their plants and will be on hand to answer questions and share their secrets to success. Extension Master Gardeners will answer gardening questions, as well as offer educational materials.
