New Healing Center Opens in Schaumburg

The Payne Wellness Center has opened in Schaumburg. The husband and wife team of Mary Pat and Carey Payne are proud to have created a welcoming and relaxing space where people can come for support on their wellness journey.

Mary Pat is a licensed massage therapist who believes in an integrated approach to therapeutic massage. Each session is a customized blend of different types of massage, bodywork and stretching to help her clients reach their goal, whether it is pain relief, stress relief, relief from the side effects of cancer and its treatment, increased mobility or relaxation. Mary Pat also practices two forms of energy healing which some clients prefer to massage—she says they are just different paths to wellness.

Carey is a licensed speech language pathologist with more than 30 years experience. He also takes an integrated approach to his therapy sessions by integrating the patient’s profession, family, hobbies and habits. His advanced training includes teaching patients how to use augmentative communication devices if speech is impaired, Lee Silverman voice training (LSVT), accent reduction, corporate communication strategies and more.

Carey also uses gardening therapy as an approach to wellness, creating programs at area hospitals and now offering private garden therapy sessions to individuals and groups.
