Learn About New Energy Jobs

Learn about the new Illinois Future Energy Jobs Act (FEJA) at the Fox Valley Sustainability Network (FVSN) Energy Forum from 1 to 3 p.m., June 21, at the Sugar Grove campus of Waubonsee Community College.

The forum explores the future of energy jobs in the state, community solar and more. Featuring speakers from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, in Golden, Colorado, the national SolSmart program and the Environmental Law and Policy Center, discussing models for community solar for nonprofit institutions and local governments.

They will explain FEJA funding opportunities for local communities, including low-to-moderate income families, and how to become a SolSmart registered community. Following the presentation, participants will address specific project implementation related to water, food, waste, energy, economic development, transportation and green infrastructure.
