Illinois Tornado Disaster Relief Fund Underway

The Illinois Tornado Relief Effort 2015 has been created by WGN Radio, WGN-TV, the Chicago Tribune, Hoy and the McCormick Foundation to help communities struggling with weather-related devastation incurred when tornadoes ripped through central and northern Illinois on April 9. Only money is being accepted, not supplies or services.

All of the money raised by this campaign will go directly to nonprofit agencies providing disaster relief and recovery efforts. The first round of grants will be distributed in May to organizations helping those most affected by the recent storms.

Donors can make contributions by credit/debit cards online at Donate.McCormickFoundation.org/iltornado or by calling 1-800-931-5707. Checks or money orders can be mailed to Illinois Tornado Relief Effort, 23912 Network Pl., Chicago, IL 60673-1239
