Learn the Piano for Health and Creativity

Zina Katsman, a classical pianist, dedicated teacher for 20 years and owner of Piano For Everyone, is offering free trial lessons at her Highland Park studio Tuesdays, May 10 and 17 at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.; Saturdays, May 14 and 21 at 11 a.m.; and Sundays, May 15 and 22 at 10 a.m. Her new Recreational Music Making (RMM) 50-minute group classes for adults are a fun and social experience where participants encourage and support one another. They choose their level of achievement and play many of their favorite songs.

RMM brings joy and wellness benefits as it reverses stress and promotes health and well-being. Students will learn to read music, play music of their choice and learn to play lead sheets.

Studies have shown that music builds confidence, improves discipline, attention, concentration, memory, learning capability and coordination and also creates better students and professionals. Learning an instrument such as the piano helps individuals to become more well-rounded and benefits creativity, academic skills, brain health and overall wellness.
