From purple coneflowers to sky blue asters, there’ll be myriad choices for the garden at the annual Conserve Lake County Spring Native Plant Sale, from 3 to 7 p.m., May 12, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on both May 13 and 14.

Shoppers may choose from plants that contribute to both the beauty of their yard and the health of our natural world, with many species of perennials, grasses, sedges, shrubs and trees of local and regional ecotypes. New Conserve Lake County merchandise includes shirts, caps and license plate frames. Linda Curtis will be on hand with copies of her new book Bog-Fen Carex of the Upper Midwest along with Woodland Carex of the Upper Midwest, both available for purchase.
