Songwriters to Perform for Charity




The sixth installment of the Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation Songwriters In The Round will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., May 24, at Joe’s Bar, with a performance by longtime supporters of the foundation and Grammy award-winning country music songwriters Kelley Lovelace, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley for a festive night of dancing, music and barbecue.

        There will be silent and live auctions to benefit the Chicago-based Bernie’s Book Bank, By The Hand Club and Communities in Schools to improve the quality of education, empower underprivileged communities and support cancer research. An after party at the Godfrey Hotel will follow the show.

        The Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation was established in 2013, led by an engaged and dedicated board, advisory board and women’s board. The foundation’s mission is to provide philanthropic and financial support to a number of established social service and research organizations.
