Shamanic Energy Practices for Professionals

Kathleen Rude (left)

Kathleen Rude, shamanic practitioner, will give a workshop on shamanism, one of the oldest healing modalities, from noon to 6 p.m., December 8, at the Be Optimal Holistic Health Center, in Glenview. The workshop is designed for body workers, energy healers and other healing practitioners that work with people or animals. She will provide a practical framework for understanding and working with energies of all kinds (physical, emotional and spiritual) in a compassionate, loving way and provide tools, practices and teachings to become a more effective body or light worker and a healthier, more empowered person.

Topics include the different types of energy and how to identify them; strengthening intuition and the ability to sense energies; how to effectively clear a workspace; connecting with helping spirits that both protect and energize; empowerment to be a caregiver, not a caretaker; clearing negative beliefs; how to heal/transform stuck energies; and understanding why some energy patterns are difficult to clear and how shamanic practices can heal recurring issues.
