Meet Stephanie Miller and Thom Hartmann at WCPT Events

Stephanie Miller

Locally owned WCPT is one of the last truly independent radio stations in the country, with nationally syndicated programs from personalities that include Bill Press, Ed Schultz and Thom Hartmann. Weekends include locally produced programs on home repair, gardening, politics, spirituality and other issues. In November, they are presenting two local events.

The Great Debate 3 will be held at 7p.m., November 7, at the The Meadows Club (TheMeadowsClub.com), in Rolling Meadows, with topics including the Affordable Care Act and the minimum wage. Host Stephanie Miller will square off with AM 560’s Michael Medved in front of a live audience, divided by their politics, but united by their passion for the issues. This event will not be broadcast. Tickets are $25 to $99 at WcptGreatDebate3.BrownPaperTickets.com.

Thom Hartmann

Thom Hartmann will sign his book, The Crash of 2016—The Plot to Destroy America and What We Can Do to Stop It, at 7 p.m., November 14, at The Frugal Muse (FrugalMuseBooks.com), in Darien. In the book, Hartmann describes a country not on the road to collapse, but in the midst of an economic implosion that could make the Great Depression seem small by comparison. His book offers hope and choices to avoid this path.
