Join Green Innovators at “Envisioning a World Transformed”

Area residents are encouraged to join Chicago change-makers to share ways to create a shift for the positive global good at “Envisioning a World Transformed,” to be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., November 18, at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. The event will feature leaders from the fields of education, the environment, social enterprise and personal development. Sponsored by Greenheart Transforms, this day of exhibits, inspiring presentations, music, meditation and an organic vegetarian lunch will educate guests about Chicago’s plethora of exciting green and sustainability movements from guest speakers that will each share their own personal “tipping point”, and how they decided to take the first steps in creating change, as well as their challenges and advice for up-and-coming change-makers.

Presenter and exhibitors will emphasize the social action component for positive change, and include Neli Vasquez-Rowland, co-founder of A Safe Haven; John Edel, founder and executive director of The Plant; Tim Boyd, president of the Theosophical Society in America; Philip L. Comella, author of Heaven at the End of Science; Bob Schwalb, instructor for Humane Education Advocates Reaching Teachers; Sarah Elizabeth Ippel, founder and executive director of the Academy for Global Citizenship; and Sonia Choquette , world-renowned author and founder of Six Sensory Wisdom.

Be inspired to join the movement, connect with like-minded networks and gather tools and resources to help create change within the local community. Join in a day of hands on activities, inspiring presentations and a group meditation to answer the question, “How do you envision a world transformed?”
