Learn About Illinois Trees on Guided Walk in Wilmette




Go Green Wilmette and the Wilmette Park District are partnering for a family-friendly guided tree walk at 9 a.m., October 6, in Mallinckrodt Park, to learn to identify a variety of trees that thrive in northern Illinois. Refreshments will be served from 10:30 to 11 a.m., following the tree walk. Dogs on leashes are welcome.

Topics include tree identification, the basics of how to protect trees against environmental stresses, the benefits of planting native species and which trees might work best in your yard.
