Sweet Celebrations with Colleen’s

Colleen Berg

At the Honor Ride & Run (R2R) on October 6, at Veteran’s Memorial Park, in Barrington, local businesses Colleen’s Sweet Treats & More and Sweaters-N-Sweets will be donating 30 percent of all purchases and preorders to the cause during the month of October. It’s a good time to order ahead for the holidays and help our wounded veterans and healing heroes in mental and physical rehabilitation. R2R raises money to support cycling programs at military and VA locations around the U.S. that help healing heroes overcome obstacles they face.

Then from 6 to 10 p.m., October 19, Colleen’s will be at the Black Cat Ball, hosted by Spay & Stay, a trap-neuter-return organization, at 389 Center Street, in Grayslake, donating 20 percent of all orders to the pet organization in October. Gift baskets can be mixed and matched between both bakeries.
