Mixing it Up for Community Cooperation

Lake County Cares is hosting its inaugural Leading for Good event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., October 5, at Independence Grove Audubon Hall, in Libertyville, to connect more than two dozen local nonprofits with volunteers, leaders and board members. Refreshments will be provided. 

        Miah Armour, executive director of the Lake County Community Foundation, says, “This ‘speed dating’ for new board leaders will be a fun and effective way to build bench strength and visibility for Lake County’s nonprofits as organizations get ready to launch into a new year of programming and services.”
