Learn to Incorporate Permaculture into Daily Life

Learn how to use permaculture on a daily basis at The Resiliency Institute in September and October with classes that include Intro to Permaculture and Plant Identification, as well as instruction on growing a fruit tree guild, herbalism, and edible wild plants walks.

Those that enjoy gardening can volunteer to be a “forest garden friend” and gain hands-on experience managing two public edible forest gardens in Naperville. These projects demonstrate how lawns and underutilized properties can be transitioned into food-producing systems that regenerate soil and enhance ecology and biodiversity while growing community food security at the same time.

At The Resiliency Institute, visitors gain the skills needed to grow an edible forest garden in their own yard or community and contribute to the transformation of the suburbs into resilient permaculture communities.

Location: 10S404 Knoch Knolls Rd., Naperville. To register for a class, sign up to be a Forest Garden Friend or make a donation, visit TheResiliencyInstitute.net. See ad at NAChicagoNorth.com.
