November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month

November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago is hosting two special public events.

Heroes Night, from 6 to 11 p.m., November 11, at Galleria Marchetti, 825 West Erie Street, in Chicago, will honor several local medical professionals and businesses for their outstanding contributions toward epilepsy care and outreach.

Members of the community are encouraged to attend the annual Greater Chicago Epilepsy Consumer Conference, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., November 19, held at the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro Hotel, 733 West Madison Street, in Chicago. This is a free program with educational tracks specifically for adults with epilepsy and for parents of children with epilepsy.
