New Smoothie Fixin’s Bar Opens at Walsh

Walsh Natural Health, in Evanston, has added a new Smoothie Fixin’s Bar and will offer grand opening specials from March 15 through 17, including discounts, tastings, nutritional information, recipes and a new assortment of protein powders, greens formulas and super foods like maca, cacao and pomegranate.

Owner Lynn Bednar says, “Smoothies are a great way to start the day out right or to make a great snack. This helps you avoid typical times during the day where we tend to ‘fall down,’ eating grab-and-go processed food, high calorie foods or just foods with little nutritional value.”

Each day has a theme: Smoothies for Weight Loss, March 15; Super food Smoothies, March 16; and Smoothies for Sports Enhancement, March 17.
