To help further local women’s empowerment and gain them access to clean water in Tanzania, local nonprofit It Can Be Done! will hold a fun and enlightening event just in time for holiday shopping. Health, Happiness and Hope: A Holiday Fundraising Fair, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., December 1, at the Libertyville Civic Center, showcasing local merchants, artisans and practitioners.

Demonstrations, raffles, gift certificates, original and unique gifts by local artists, beautiful handicrafts from Acorn Women’s Cooperative Tanzania, spa services and healing treatments, as well as many other creative products and services, will be available for purchase. Proceeds support clean water access and women’s empowerment in the villages of Mt. Kilimanjaro and help them to live with dignity and hope.

Thought-provoking speakers will address issues including women’s health, food and fun for healthy living, eco-friendly life at home, our part in climate shift realities, living everyday with possibility and hope, and more.

Admission is $10 (tax deductible). Location: 135 W. Church St., Libertyville. For more information, call 847-525-2600 or visit ItCanBeDoneAfrica.org.
