A New Approach to the Holidays

Laurie Pawli

December is a time for giving and receiving, and a local workshop focused on abundance will help attendees better appreciate the holiday season. The Chicago Connection for Higher Instruction (CHI), a division of The Feng Shui School of Chicago, will present A Holiday Sensory Journey of Abundance, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., December 1, at the Clubhouse Inn & Suites, in Westmont. Attendees will learn how to stimulate each of their senses in the giving and receiving process through touch, smell, sound, taste and sight. This uplifting, hands-on event promises to revitalize the physical process to raise vibrations, calm mental focus and bring in the abundance of the holiday season.

Different approaches will assist attendees in realizing their abundance. Laurie Pawli, director and certified feng shui consultant of The Feng Shui School of Chicago, will guide a Gratitude of Abundance ceremony to bring awareness to the yin and yang of giving and receiving. Holistic Health and Nutrition Coach Bianca Castlebuono will lead the group in a singing bowl meditation, and certified yoga instructor Melissa Herbert will incorporate chair yoga positions. A light continental breakfast is included.
