Good Food Festival and Conference at UIC

FamilyFarmed.org will explore the theme of Your Choices Matter to the Good Food Movement, from March 14 to 16, at the 2013 UIC Forum, in Chicago. The ninth Good Food Festival & Conference celebrates local farmers and food producers. Highlights include artisan and farmer exhibitors, nationally noted speakers, workshops on growing and cooking food, chef demonstrations and an interactive Kids’ Corner.

The choices we make as consumers, diners and shoppers impact not only our health, but the local economy and the environment, as well. At the festival, people will learn how to make good choices and be part of the change toward healthy living.

Additional activities include a trade show, policy summit and financing farm-to-fork conference. Localicious is an evening party that pairs the area’s top chefs with local farmers. Volunteers are still needed to make the event a success.
