New Chicagoland Green Home Tour

The inaugural GreenBuilt Home Tour, showcasing sustainable, healthy homes in Northern Illinois, will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 20 and 21. This public tour highlights sustainable building practices that are attractive, practical and affordable and put current challenges to our vision to create a vibrant and sustainable built environment within a generation in the forefront of attendees’ minds. Local residents are invited to attend some or all of the tour.

Northern Illinois’ finest builders, designers and homeowners have pulled out all the stops to create healthy green homes. Together, they send a clear message—to reduce our nation’s need to produce energy, we must “build it tight and vent it right.” The tour will feature homes that need very little energy to keep them comfortable year-round and even produce more energy than they use.Green Home Tour Chicago
