Grand Opening for Greenheart Shop’s New Home in Old Town

The Greenheart Shop has moved from Wicker Park to a new location at 1714 North Wells Street, in Chicago’s Old Town. Everyone is invited to their grand opening celebration to be held from 5 to 8 p.m., October 15, with local food, drinks and music. October is National Fair Trade Month, and they carry a wide selection of high-quality, fair trade and eco-friendly products, including home décor, kitchenware, jewelry, accessories and gourmet treats.

Greenheart Shop sells many customer favorites such as Good Paper greeting cards that are made from recycled paper by female artisans in the Philippines that have escaped sex slavery. The shop will also feature new products such as Raven + Lily jewelry that is made from artillery shells used in former war conflicts in Ethiopia. These shells are melted down to produce delicate beads using techniques that have been passed down for generations.
