Farmers’ Markets Open All Winter

Enjoy food from local farms all winter long at indoor winter farmers’ markets, open through March throughout the Chicagoland area. Sponsored by Faith in Place, an interfaith environmental organization, these markets provide small, local farm producers with additional venues to extend their income beyond the growing season.

Free and open to the public, the markets offer cheeses, meats, honey, raw fibers, vinegars, sauces and salsas, preserves, cider, soap and fresh produce. This way, customers are able to continue to purchase farm-fresh items and also cultivate relationships with local farmers beyond the summer market season.

Markets this month are planned for December 7, in Bolingbrook, and December 14, in Chicago.
