Celebrate Archeology Day & Art in Nature ~ This Weekend two Forest Preserves

Looking for a way to better understand and appreciate historic Native American culture? Head to the Sand Ridge Nature Center and enjoy archaeology displays, guided hikes and various activities with members of the Forest Preserve team.

On the other side of the county, visitors to the Crabtree Nature Center can watch artists as they paint along the trails while listening to live music, view additional artwork for sale and vote for their favorite artist. Adults and kids can create their own artwork with materials and instruction provided. Three food trucks will be making an appearance, too! Choose from Baby Cakes, Cupcakes for Courage and Windy City Patty Wagon.
