The Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) annual Great Lakes Regional Conference will be held September 26 and 27 at Camp Manitoqua, in Frankfort, Illinois. The Great Lakes region includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, but everyone is welcome to attend. Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address climate change.

Conference attendees will learn about climate change issues and CCL’s mission and work. The keynote speakers are Dr. Bennett Brabson, emeritus professor of environmental physics at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB); and Sarah Hunt, an energy policy analyst at the Niskanen Center.

Brabson will speak on The Changing Climate, Both Now and Here... Why CCL Is So Important. Hunt will speak on Moving the Ball in Your Back Yard: How to Work with Conservatives on Climate Policy in Your State.
