Putting the Plus in the O+ Festival to Aid the Arts

The O+ (Positive) Festival is coming to Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood from September 3 through 6 with more than 20 artists and 35-plus national and local musicians. A parade and kickoff party will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Thursday. The festivities last from 4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and from noon to midnight Saturday, with a Wellness Expo outside Pilsen Vintage from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday’s festivities are closed to the public and are only for artists, musicians and patrons of the event.

The all-volunteer O+ Festival is dedicated to bringing wellness services to artists and musicians. They donate their time and talent by making murals/installations or playing concerts and in return, receive medical, dental and wellness services donated by art-loving providers at the pop-up O+ Clinic.

Location: downtown Pilsen neighborhood, Chicago. Cost for a weekend pass is a $10 donation. For more information including a complete schedule, visit OPositiveFestival.org/Chicago.
