Sarah Surroz

Sarah Surroz has been named the new executive director of Conserve Lake County, succeeding Dave Neu. She has been with Conserve Lake County since 2005 in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as director of conservation partnerships.

Surroz has been working on land and water conservation projects in Lake County since 1985, playing a key role in passing four forest preserve open space referendums and helping to craft land use plans that now impact thousands of acres.

Established in 1985, Conserve Lake County is the only member-supported and professionally staffed nonprofit land conservation organization that works throughout Lake County.
