Chicago to Bloom with Rare Spring Beauty in March

Start making plans to attend the annual Chicago Flower & Garden Show, which runs from March 18 through 26, 2017, at Navy Pier. It will include 30 featured gardens and vignettes under the theme of Chicago’s Blooming! With roots that date back to 1847 as the Chicago Fruit and Flower Show, the event was one of the first consumer shows held at the Pier, celebrating its 100th birthday in 2016. Today, it’s bigger and more popular than ever.

There’s something for everyone and every situation, from balconies, patios and small-space designs to creative vegetable and herb gardens, water features and perennial beds. The Chicago Flower & Garden Show presents both the spontaneous and cultured styles of landscape architecture while offering practical solutions for everyday sustainability.

Director Tony Abruscato says, “While there’s a lot to see, there’s even more to do, as visitors can roll up their sleeves and participate in more than 100 activities, seminars, classes, demonstrations and events within the show.”
