Functional Medicine Psychiatry Seminar at Clear Path Wellness
Feb 24, 2017 09:42PM
Laurie Goldman, M.D.
Laurie Goldman, M.D., a practicing psychiatrist for more than 20 years, has expanded her practice to now include Clear Path Wellness (CPW), where the focus is on whole body treatment and health management. She will present a seminar, Changing the Prescription: A Functional Medicine Approach to treating Depression, at 7 p.m., March 21.
Clinicians at CPW find that treating root causes leads to better and more lasting health, including relief of symptoms. Listening to individuals’ stories and examining the interactions of genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors is the hallmark of their practice. They see themselves as facilitators of change, and using prescription medications is the exception, rather than the rule. Lab tests help inform recommendations for changes in nutrition, stress and other lifestyle factors. Goldman has studied extensively with the Institute for Functional Medicine and has assembled a wonderful team to provide the utmost support in a positive and inspiring environment.
If you have symptoms (fatigue, brain fog, aches and pains, GI issues, etc.) that are controlling your life and you are not getting relief from your doctors or treatment, this is the seminar for you.
Seminar: Admission is free. Location: 1655 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Ste. 301-W, Arlington Heights. Make reservation (required) at 847-686-6666. Visit LaurieGoldmanMD.com. See ad on page 21.
