No More Commuting to Classes

The Midwest College of Oriental Medicine (MCOM), in Evanston, has begun offering online distance education. The winter quarter begins January 6 with an online live streaming hybrid lecture series containing the biological science portion of the program from 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays.

The Fundamentals of Oriental Medicine course awakens students to the theoretical concepts and theories of unique diagnosis for Oriental medicine. It establishes root knowledge for new students to build upon throughout the acupuncture and Chinese medicine programs. Fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a prerequisite to the Chinese medicine courses. Each lecture is recorded and uploaded to an educational portal for students to review the remainder of the quarter.

MCOM offers master’s level acupuncture certification or a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine, combined with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition for those desiring a rewarding career in TCM, acupuncture, herbs and massage.

Location: 1601 Sherman Ave., Ste. 200, Evanston. For enrollment and more information, call Liz Warkentin, admissions director, at 800-593-2320 or visit Acupuncture.edu.
