Veggie Fest Chicago, now in its 13th year and one of the largest vegetarian food and wellness festivals in North America, has moved to a new location—Danada South Park at Navistar Drive, in Lisle. The two-day festival that drew record-breaking crowds from around the world in 2017 will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., August 10 and 11. Veggie Fest features incredible new vegetarian and vegan food booths in the international food court.
The more than 20 prominent speakers on healthy living include Neal Barnard, M.D., adjunct associate professor at George Washington University School of Medicine, in Washington, D.C., and president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine; Terry Mason, M.D., chief operating officer of the Cook County Department of Public Health; Arran Stephens, founder and CEO of Nature’s Path Organic; and John Salley, four-time NBA champion and vegan and wellness coach.
Other highlights include food demos by restaurant owners, chefs, and authors; a children’s tent with face painting, kids’ parade, and crafts; live music from some of Chicago’s best bands; and more than 100 vendor booths on healthy living to explore.
Admission and parking are free. For more information, visit VeggieFestChicago.com.
