Playing For Peace throughout September

Level Up: Race for Humanity 2020

Play for Peace inaugurated its virtual race to support children and youngsters in conflict zones on September 1 with an online ceremony on their Facebook page in celebration of the opening of Level Up: Race for Humanity 2020. The live event included a warm welcome from the Play for Peace team and a motivational activity to help set participants goals for the month, learning the Level Up spirit dance. The event continues through September 30 with weekly activities and opportunities to participate.

"Level Up: Race for Humanityā€¯ will make 2020 less overwhelming and more fun for your family, co-workers, and friends. We hope you enjoy feeling more hopeful by joining an inspiring global community in this playful month-long challenge," says Sarah Gough, Play for Peace account executive.

Play for Peace has been celebrating this fundraising initiative, which will be virtual this year because of the pandemic, to help young leaders to become champions of compassion. 100% of funds raised will support recruiting, training, and supporting youth in the United States and areas of conflict around the world.

Aspirants can sign up as an individual, create a team, or join an existing team on the Level Up page. The event asks participants to share their training journey on social media by uploading photos and videos with the hashtag #leveluphumanity2020.

Also, individuals will participate in weekly activities to level up their body, mind, and heart throughout September. They will complete simple virtual guided activities and use video tools from experts in physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
