Karen Kring - 2021 Women in Wellness

As a
media strategist and president of The Kring Group, she’s worked with political
candidates and a variety of associations and non-profits. Karen excels at
telling compelling narratives for diverse audiences, across multiple platforms.
As a
photographer and journalist, she’s worked for the Chicago Tribune, Associated
Press, Sun-Times Media and other news outlets. She is a powerful storyteller
with a natural ability at finding unique angles and informative material. If
you meet her in person ask her about the times she photographed President Jimmy
Carter. Her current labor of love is Media Curious, a series of conversations
with journalists which aims to demystify “the media” for news consumers.
A big
believer of being of service, Karen is an active member of the Rotary Club ofEvanston. She’s partial to white wine and iced chai lattes, but not at the same
time.
Karen is excited to be featured as a 2021 Women in Wellness with Natural Awakenings Chicago Magazine, and thanks the health and wellness community for believing in her mission to serve the media needs of healthy-minded businesses.
