The Chicago Excellence in Gardening Awards (CEGA) is presenting the summer 2021 edition of the 60-Second Garden Video Challenge, open through August 31. Gardeners create one-minute videos of their gardens and upload them to the CEGA website. The CEGA team reviews them for social standards and music licensing considerations, then posts the videos on the CEGA YouTube Channel. Viewers use the “thumbs up” to vote for their favorite videos.

Winners in each category will be announced for each month of the competition. The top three winners for the spring and summer sections in each category will be awarded modest cash prizes. Videos that receive the most votes will be posted on the CEGA website and social media pages. Entrants need not be from Chicago.

Entry is free. For more information, including a full set of rules, and to enter the challenge, visit ChicagoGardeningAwards.org.
