Letter from Publisher

While I was writing my notes to you today, hundreds of Sandhill Cranes flew overhead in the crisp air, bugling loudly as they headed to locations further south. Their annual migration always sends me outside to watch and listen, and reminds me that the seasons are changing and the holidays are upon us.

I hope you’ll find some time to be mindful of the world around us as the season unfolds. There’s still lots to explore in our gardens, parks, forest preserves and other natural areas.
