Panel to Discuss Sustainability in Building Design

Green Home Chicago will host a symposium on the State of Sustainability in the Building Industry, May 3, at the Green Home Chicago Design Center. Networking is scheduled at 5:30 p.m.; the symposium from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and a Q&A session from 7:30 to 8 p.m.

The panel includes Helen Kessler, FAIA, LEED, AP, of H. J. Kessler Associates, with 30 years’ experience in sustainable design, energy efficiency and renewable energy; Kevin Pierce, AIA and COO of Resource Center Chicago, an award-winning architect and planner with more than 20 years’ experience as an executive for nonprofits; M. D. Shaw, of Sustainable Design Solutions of Illinois, an architect at Skidmore Owens, Lohan Associates and Farr Associates; and Amanda Mahon, LEED, AP, Green Home Chicago Design Center, a LEED consultant for commercial and residential projects.

The event is open to the public.
