Celebrate the Planet and its Trees April 26 in Northbrook

Earth Day and Arbor Day will be celebrated from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 26, in Northbrook. Between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., visitors will enjoy exhibits, information about local farmers, home weatherization tips, demonstrations, giveaways, free tree seedlings, pony rides, games and entertainment.

Residents are encouraged to participate in a special recycling collection and document shredding event at the west side commuter parking lot by the METRA station near the corner of Walters and Shermer roads, in downtown Northbrook.
