North Shore Classic Half Marathon and 5K Race

RAM Racing will host the 37th annual North Shore Classic half marathon and 5K race May 31 in Highland Park, with a purse of more than $10,000. The charity partner for the North Shore Classic is the Misericordia Heart of Mercy, home to 600 children and adults challenged by mental and physical disabilities, located in Chicago. It contains 13 individual homes, an independent living apartment complex, four residential centers, a skilled nursing facility, a training center for adults and home sites in neighboring communities.

The half marathon course will run through quiet wooded roads, past Ravinia Festival grounds, through historic Fort Sheridan and under the clock tower. All registrants receive a goodie bag that includes a blue technical running shirt and a finisher medal for the half marathon runners.

Participants will also enjoy food and refreshments after the race. Packet pick up is the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before the race at the Running Away Multisport retail locations in Deerfield. Packet mailing is also an option for an extra fee.
