Veggie Fest is Back and Bigger Than Ever

Veggie Fest, a huge two-day outdoor festival with tons of vegetarian fun for the whole family, held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., August 10 and 11, on the grounds of the Science of Spirituality Meditation Center, in Naperville, is bigger than ever this year. The event offers fun and variety for vegan, vegetarian and omnivore alike.

Producers of the eighth annual Veggie Fest expect more than 30,000 people to feast on delicious vegetarian food, attend exciting food demos from some of the top vegetarian chefs in the country and get cutting-edge information from doctors and specialists about vegetarianism, spirituality, nutrition, organic food and eco-friendly living.

Highlights include live music, face painting, arts and crafts and a Veggie Fest art show for kids. A blood drive and vegetarian food drive allow participants to make their own positive contribution to the community.

Along with more than 100 exhibitor booths, delicious vegetarian food demos and coupon books with hundreds of dollars of savings at local businesses, the Vegetarian Challenge provides free recipes, tips and advice about becoming a vegetarian for seven days. Last year, more than 3,000 people took the challenge.
